Celebrating 35 years committed to the study and procurement of art and antiques. Our business was started in 1970 in Chevy Chase Md. by Katherine Denny, an artist that with a B.A from Millsap College , studied under John Macready in New Orleans , Graduate Studies and internship at the Chicago Institute of Art. Katherine Denny worked for WPA doing designs of facades of buildings, metal works and a fountain in New Orleans, and Jackson Miss. She also worked with the Silvestory Art Design Firm designing department store windows, for Marshall Field and Co and other major department stores in the U.S.

Katherine Denny had a wrought iron furniture business ,manufacturing contemporary tables and chairs made of glass and iron. The popular butterfly chairs were in production ,also metal and clay stylized wall art.

Katherine Blair her niece studied interior design and art history at LSU and SLU graduating with a B.A. joining her aunt in 1975.She did her graduate work at Tulane University in art history. Katherine taught art in public and private schools. During the seventies they turned a family passion for Art and Antiques into a business.

Both ladies were active in the Textile museum in Washington D. C. as well as members of the Haja Babas of D.C., an oriental rug study group. Katherine Blair was a charter member and active in The Women's Art Museum, in D.C., Royal Society of Art in London, England. She has been a member Louisiana Council of Art, working on trying to bring art , music and performing art to all public schools in Louisiana.

Among the shows they have done are: the Boston Ellis antique Show, Greenwich Show, Philadelphia Hospital Antique Show, Winterthur Museum Show, Minneapolis Institute of Art , Washington Antiques Show, Baltimore Historical Society, Tri Delta Charity Antiques Show Dallas, Lauritzen Gardens Antique Show. Junior League of Las Angeles Antique Show, Napa Valley Antique Show, Charleston S.C., Jacksonville Fla., Palm Beach, Thomasville G.A. Antiques Show, Cathedral Antiques Show Atlanta, Cincinnati Art and Antiques Show, Blue Grass Trust Antique show, Lexington, Ky.
